Rakhi Sawant admits she got engaged to Elesh Parujanwala for money

Rakhi Sawant admits she got engaged to Elesh for money and that she is looking for an affluent mature man in her life

Rakhi Sawant knows how to remain in the news. Today, the lady made an explosive revelation in a leading publication on the reality behind her reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar, marriage and finding the right groom. It has been seven years since her much talked about groom-hunting exercise on TV but it seems it left an indelible impact on her life. The lady says she is not able to find a right man for herself.

In an interview with the Bombay Times, the lady said she is struggling for good marriage prospects. Fans will remember that when Rakhi called off her engagement with Elesh Parujanwala, a lot of debate had ensured. Coming clear on that, she said, “I got engaged to Elesh for money, I wanted to buy a flat. Why should I lie? I didn’t want to marry someone only to divorce him later. I am not dating anyone. Also, I am not getting good prospects because of my image created by the media. I don’t want to marry a young guy or a struggler. I am looking for a mature and affluent man, who can take care of me and my needs.”
She was dating Abhishek Awasthi for a long time but they broke up. Later, he said that he was upset at being identified as her boyfriend and said that she was a shameful part of his past. Since then, Rakhi has not been in a steady relationship with anyone.
While her Narendra Modi dress grabbed a lot of eyeballs, she said she regretted her decision to join the field of politics. Remember the Mirchi dress and campaign? “Joining politics was a wrong move. Also, I shouldn’t have quit TV; whatever I am today is because of it and my item numbers. I was a princess here, but I left it for a field where I wasn’t respected. I can’t play politics,” stated the lady. Rakhi will be seen in an upcoming episode of Savdhaan India on Life Ok where she plays wife to a 16-year-old boy. The lady who had a film release recently called Ek Kahaani Julie Ki, feels that her image is not a deterrent per se. She stated, “Sirf sari pehenne se bahu nahi bante! I don’t have an ego and don’t mind approaching people for work. I just want to do good work.” Well, that is Rakhi for you….blunt to the core.
