Bajaj V12 Launched

Bajaj Auto has launched another of its new 125cc motorcycle named V12. The two-wheeler company has started rolling out the new motorcycle from its Chakan plant, and have priced them  at 56,200 each, ex-showroom Delhi. This makes one motorcycle Rs. 6000 cheaper than its elder sibling the V15. Bajaj got quite a nice response after launching its V15 earlier this year and till now the company has been able to sell more than one lakh vehicles. A few more motorcycles under the ‘V’ branding was on the cards for quite some time now, as Bajaj wanted to bank on the hype that was created by the V15.
The all new V12 sports identical styling just like its elder sibling the V15. The new V12 will get a very small amount of metal from the decommissioned INS Vikrant as found in its sibling. However, the new motorcycle lacks the seat cowl, that the V15 has.
The 125cc segment is already overcrowded with motorcycles like the Honda Shine and Hero Glamour as customers are now looking for slightly powerful and more sporty motorcycles than before. With the introduction of the V12, the competition will get more fierce and will allow the customers to have an extra pick to choose from.
The commuter gets an air cooled 124.6cc single cylinder DTS-i engine, that already does duty in the Bajaj Discover 125. The engine is mated to a 5 speed gearbox, and can churn out maximum power of 11PS at 8,000 RPM and 10.8 NM of maximum torque at 5,500 RPM. The engine should deliver identical fuel efficiency as the Discover 125. The braking duty is handled by a 240 mm front disc brake and 130 mm rear drum brake. Just like its elder sibling the V12 also gets telescopic front fork and gas-charged twin hydraulic suspension at the rear. The bike sails on and 18-inch front alloy wheel and 16-inch rear alloy wheels.
